A three-season tent built with a hybrid single/double-wall construction, the Black Diamond Skylight offers ample room for two people and a very friendly fit for three. The tent’s front third has a mesh inner wall for excellent ventilation and a panoramic view. The attached NanoShield® canopy can be rolled up in nice weather or rolled down for a spacious vestibule and protection in adverse conditions. The rear two-thirds is composed of a single wall of NanoShield for breathability and water resistance. The internal DAC Featherlite tent poles offer a high strength-to-weight ratio and keep the tent quiet in gusty conditions. For interior organization, the Skylight has four mesh pockets.

This utlra light tent is perfect for the big mountains multi day hiking. It held up great in berg winds with its cross pole structure and sets up super quick when you are tired or need to get out of the rain quickly. The poles all connect on the inside, took awhile to work this out but once you know, set up is less than 1 minute! It is also free standing so doesn't rely on peg strings to keep it upright like some similar tents do making it great to set up on any surface, even a cave with no soil to peg.
It's a single layer tent so does collect a fair amount of condensation on the inside if your 2 people, if theres no rain, opening the skylight will help with this. Plenty space for 2 people plus your packs.
You have to rain seal it your self which was strange at first but does mean your tent seals are new from the day you did them and not perishing from manufacture to shipping to sitting on the shelf in the shop before you take it home so actually a cool concept. It's worth putting in the time to do this before you christen it on your adventure.
