How to get your Scarpa shoes resoled
The following Scarpa shoes can be resoled:
Step 1
Drop off your shoes at any of the following gyms.
Step 2
Submit a resole request
Scarpa will collect shoes from each retailer every Friday. Latest drop off is on a Thursday before the retailers close of business. Scarpa will collect all shoes and return them to our warehouse in Cape Town. They will be inspected and then delivered to our resole centre.
Our Goal is to have shoes returned to collections points within 15 business days from drop off at the resoler. The turnaround time for resoling depends on our resolers workload and the complexity of the resole job. If there are any major delays, Scarpa South Africa will communicate with the client.
Step 3
Payment for the resole service is handled directly between the client and Scarpa South Africa. The retailer does not handle any payment transactions related to the resole service.
Step 4
Scarpa have a ticketing system that tracks the resole process. During each phase, the system automatically generates emails that are sent to update the client on the status of the shoes.Scarpa will notify the customer when the resoled shoes are enroute to the collection point. Clients that have a collection point outside of the Western Cape will be provided with Courier Waybill Details.
If the customer encounters any issues with the resole service or the shoes after pickup, please contact Scarpa’s customer service immediately. They will assist you in resolving any concerns or issues promptly.
Why Scarpa Resoles
The rubber used in Scarpa Resoles is pre-cut and shaped by Scarpa to match the original model’s shape. This includes the same sticky rubber used in the original resole, such as Vibram Edge or Vibram XS Grip 2.
Unlike standard resolers, Scarpa’s process does not involve cutting off part of the original pad. Instead, the entire original sole is peeled off and replaced with a full pad sole made from official Scarpa materials. This approach ensures a more consistent and higher-quality finish that closely resembles a new shoe.
Key features of Scarpa’s resole service include:
- Scarpa Assessed & Quality Controlled: Each resole is rigorously assessed and quality controlled by Scarpa.
- Performance Preservation: The entire process is designed to minimise performance loss, ensuring climbers get the most out of their shoes.
